I looked out the window and found this (rather large) walking stick climbing up the bird feeder!
Happy Monday π·πΉ
I spotted this little one hanging out on a curvy leaf on my walk through Zilker Botanical Gardens
Say Cheese π·
I found this tiny green crab spider on the milkweed (and I mean tiny). If you zoom in, you can see him smiling at you. :)
Backyard Guest π¦
This little one has been hanging out in the backyard for a few months.
Firefly and a Stormy Sky π
This has been on my photography bucket list for a while. I finally got one to land and light up! We had beautiful, purple skies from earlier storms.
Coins π€π€
My little model has returned (and with a serious smolder)! I started paying him in coins to model for fun, then he requested dollars, and now we are back to coins since he is collecting coins. :)
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Fairy Hairstreak π§ββοΈ
I donβt see hairstreaks do this with their wings often. I caught this one hanging out on a rose bush leaf.
Hairstreak π¦
I followed this little one around on the rose bush to get a shot, but he flew off and landed on the top of a window so I got this shot looking up at him which gave it this cool effect.
Eastern Tent Caterpillar π
Next to the praying mantis, this may be one of my favorites to photograph.

Green Sweat Bee π
Another little green sweat bee appeared today. They donβt make an appearance often so I lucked out getting this shot. This is an interesting fact about these solitary bees who nest alone. They dig burrows deep in the ground to lay their eggs. Sometimes these nests are communal, where a burrow entrance is shared by group of females. Each female branches out from the entrance to create her own tunnel where she nests alone and takes care of her own young. The responsibility of guarding the main entrance is shared among the group. Do you think they have arguments about whose turn it is to guard the entrance? You know they do! βΊ

Is that a Bee or a Fly β
Itβs a hoverfly. They look like bees though. The best way to tell them apart is their wings. Hoverflies have two, bees have four. They do pollinate though and they donβt sting so let them be β€
