TRACY COSTELLO

I began studying photography in 2013, drawn by a desire to look closer and linger longer. My work is best described as up close and personal — an attempt to create an intimate conversation between the viewer and the subject, a moment where emotion is felt rather than observed. I want you to sense what my subject is feeling, not just see it.

Through my lens, I aim to reveal the extraordinary within the ordinary and remind viewers that beauty exists everywhere if you slow down long enough to notice it.

My work has been recognized by a range of creative platforms, including Nat Geo Your Shot (Daily Dozen feature), Instagram, photo.net, and YouPic. I have also contributed to Austin Way Magazine and have been invited to exhibit my work in multiple juried shows, including 11 Women Photographers, Portraits: Masked/Unmasked, and the 2019 and 2022 People’s Gallery Exhibition in Austin, TX.
